Best practices для RAID Smart Array P410i на ESXI 5.5
Всем привет сегодня хочу поделиться с вами своим опытом работы с RAID контроллером HP P410i в сервере HP ProLiant DL380 G7. Я расскажу как в моей компании этот сервер подружили более или менее с SSD Sumsung Evo 850, будет представлен полностью рабочий конфиг из продакшен сервера.
Как посмотреть конфиг в VMware ESXI 5.5 на сервере HP ProLiant DL380 G7 я описывал в статье список команд hpssacli для работы с RAID Smart Array P410i, лишний раз повторяться не буду. Немного предыстории, самое максимальное что удалось выжать на RAID контроллере Smart Array P410i это 52000 иопсов, больше просто не тянет контроллер. Прошивки последние на него выходили аж в далеком 2013 году, да и ssd диски тогда еще тока тока уверенно входили в серверную жизнь, да и то уже с 8 и 9 поколением HP. Забегая немного вперед, максимально я на нем выжимал 120 000 iops, но и то это было на новом контроллере LSI 9361 8i, видимо это уже ограничение самого сервера и sas2.
